The first time I came across it was on Wattpad was in 2023 somewhere in November, and it’s been one of my favorite stories of all time. I’ve read thousands of books of all genres and was lazily scrolling through Wattpad to find something to take my mind off my writer’s block.
‘Contrast’ was the drug I didn’t know I needed. The book has great a setting, it features mature characters who’ll have you hooked, banged, and obsessed. I’d rate it a straight 11/10 because it is that good. If you’re a fan of EnemiesTolovers and College romance with realistic expectations and a great plot, then CONTRAST is the book for you. I don’t want to be a spoiler for others who might and should check it out but GOD! The book is the one. It’s got everything you’d need to escape into a delulu world and leave you obsessed for ages!
The story is set in Ohio State University. I personally love the setting and think it’s proper since the book is a college romance fiction. The setting also gives off a mercurial vibe that sets motion for various characters and plots. Additionally, it prepares the reader’s mind for what to expect since most college romance fiction have certain characteristics in common.

Contrast has two main leads, Blake Andrews as the male lead and Elena Madison as the female lead. Blake as the ML is portrayed as strong, bull-headed, and egoistic with an air of darkness to him. He’s hot, knows it, and rides in the glory that comes with looks, coupled with his envious talent in football. Blake hates Elena’s guts and hates even more his attraction towards her. But you know what they say right? when your heart wants her, you’re powerless to say otherwise. Not only does his heart yearn for her, but his mind calls to her and his body burns for eternity with her.
Elena Madison is all sunshine and rainbows on the outside, but she hides more than her optimistic exterior. For the life of her, she can’t seem to understand why Blake Andrews hates her guts. But unbeknownst to her, she is the light that Blake didn’t know he needed and He is the air she’ll forever need.

The book has very high ratings and impressive feedbacks from readers across the Wattpad platform. It currently stands at 3.93 million reads with over 99K votes and comments.
It is free for all readers as the writer has not yet shown signs of making it a premium or paid story. Sadly, the story is not available on any other reading apps aside from Wattpad as per the author’s wish. Also, the story is well written in the English language, making it a universal read, with a text-to-speech as well, an excellent treat for readers.
